The son of one of my fellow American Legion members recently bought a 1943 (?) Chevy 1 1/2 ton Army truck. It runs, but is in serious need of a carb kit and a set of new rings. It has very little rust and should be a prime candidate for restoration. I'm sure he'll be looking for "bits and pieces" once the weather warms up a bit. Does anyone know of a web site dedicated to these trucks or have an idea where he might be able to find parts? I posted a similar message on the Steel Soldiers web site yesterday, but have had no response as of yet.

Oh, yes! I spoke with his wife yesterday when I spotted the truck, and gave her the URLs for our forum and for Steel Soldiers. We may hear from him now and then.
