:D How is everybody today, my question of the day is , I am in need of the brass fittings that are used in both the distributor and air horn .It seems that in a former life someone removed my M's vent lines and installed brass plugs . I have installed differential vents in the distributor until I can reinstall the vent lines . I can find 1/8" x1/4" 90 degree brass fittings , but have been unable to find the correct 3/16" fittings . I realize that the air horn fittings are different , but I should be able to make something up if I could get the fittings . Could I use 1/4" tubing instead of 3/16" ? By the way this is a great site , I generally can find the answer to my questions BEFORE I start talking about my trucks heritage! . Keep up the good work ,bob k

Someone may chime in here with a source for those fittings. I had one with no fittings too but managed to find a carb horn with all the fittings at a swap meet for $10. So you may be able to get a complete one from somebody who is retrofitting their truck with a diesel or V8.

Sorry to hijack this thread but is it possible to buy all the vent pipes and fittings that are required for the distributor, air horn etc as my truck has
none of these also.

Cheers

These are very simple to make up. The original tubing used was 3/16", it is fine to use 1/4" in place of that. I'll be making up a set for an engine we are rebuilding in a few days. I can make 2 sets and send 1 out to you if you like. Send me a PM if interested.

Charles ,thanks for the info , As I have the fittings and 1/4" tubing I will give it a shot . Why some people have to remove vent lines is beyond me ,They do nothing for the general running of the vehicle . It's a VENT line NOT A vacuum line . I will drop you a line when I do this job ,as I want to replace the points with one of your electronic units . You know the old might as well as saying . Thanks again Bob K
