Information needed

I've just got my August 2010 issue of Petersen's 4 wheel & Off Road. Inside there's an article about what you need to pack for a Moab trip illustrated with some pictures of an M-37.
Anybody knows the owner? or has any information on the buildup? Apparently has a coil-over suspension with remote reservoir shocks up-front and some full size axles. I would definitely like to get some information on that truck and a good look of that front suspension.
Coil over suspension is something I would like to do in a future stage to my truck.

Check the shock remote reservoir hanging there, the lack of front leaf spring and what it looks to be a Ford steering gear bolted to the frame rail.
It also has three t-case levers so it possible has a Stack4x4 or Np205 with doubler in there.

Here you can see the coil over over the front tire

Nice roll bar too

The owner is Fred Williams - a regular feature and tech editor at the magazine. The trucks buildup has been featured in several articles over the last year or so, but I don't belive that the articles are finished. I have only seen the articles on the engine install (GM 6.0L) and some info on the steering setup, and some of the suspension mounts. I would cruise through some back issues to find the related articles, and keep watch for future editions with this truck in it.

No need to buy it, you can read the article online and save the photos in your hard drive. The article don't even mention the M-37 it's just for illustration purposes I guess.
I just wanted to know something more about the truck, I guess my subscription started after those articles, damned.
I'm going to look in their website.

Thanks Master Yota.

I love it. I don't think is that difficult to do it.
I would definitely give it a try when I stop the truck for it's well earned overhaul. Now I can't since it's my daily driver. :P

I'm almost done with all the previous steps for my new engine/tranny combo. As soon as my new daily driver is ready I will bring the ol' M-37 to the motorpool for it's new powerpack.

I just picked up the latest edition of the mag and there is another article in it about the mods done to his M. Mostly focusing on the rear suspension, shocks, and some of the bracketry used.

With all the custom brackets available today, its actually not that difficlut, or expensive to design and fabricate a custom suspension. The wealth of information available today in print, and online is mind blowing. Sometimes the biggest challenge is just to figure out what is relevant to the task at hand.
