My 67 had the black module box for flashing which is now replaced by the Napa one. My column switch gave me issues last year and after cleaning worked till the other day. My question is how do you tell if I have and early switch or later style? The following is a picture of the switch now installed.

Since you are having issues, do yourself a favor and get a Signal-Stat 900 series control switch as a replacement. They are readily available at NAPA, Car Quest, and other suppliers. It is a way better, longer lasting switch than the military one. It uses exactly the same wiring as the solid-state (later style) military version. Even the military solid-state ones do not have a long life expectancy.
