Oil Line ?'s

Good Morning All,
I'm looking for a good, tight pic of a 230 flatty, of the oil filter, inlet/outlet and more importantly both or all of the steel lines to the inlet/outlet.
Anybody got one or some? I have seen Carter's, they are good, but not tight enough.

This is one of the oil lines, the other one was a made up w/ flexible line & Murray clamps and attached to the bottom of the Military Jr. Oil Filter (the outlet).

Hey Carter,
I spoke with John @ Mid West Mil, yesterday, he gave me a lot of good info, but a pic is always a good/great thing. I got some tubing this am, waiting on your dimensions/length.
Thanks 4 The Reply,

Length/ dimensions of the steel line in your pic or the flexable ones?

Wow, this is way different than what was going on under my hood!! The longest one from the most forward on the block, how long is that one, is it the inlet or outlet?

It's the pressure pipe (inlet at filter).

The front long steel tube is 1/4" OD x 0.028 wall x 30"
The lower return tube is steel 1/4" OD x 0.028 wall x 9"

The two hoses are the same part number so should be the same length. I don't know the exact length but I'll measure mine tomorrow.

Last night I checked, my voltage reg is almost on top of the plug in the spot where the longer front tube originates. Since my engine is from a 1943 WC & a French rebuild at that, I guess they took a lot of liberties? I think I've got it figured out now, thanks for everyone's input. Whoa, Carter, I was about to hit post & saw your updated pic's, Mucho Gusto!
Again, Thanks, Carter, Cuz,

The hose / line configuration can be done in various ways and work just great if total originality is not an issue. The correct hoses are still available at NAPA, no problem. The one I saw in the photo above using the PUSH-LOCK connector coming out the bottom of the oil filter canister is however one I would steer clear of in this application. I just don't trust these types of connectors, (have seen hoses blow off more than once with these), they were never designed or meant to be used in crucial areas such as engine oil flow circuits. The original manufacturer, Parker, specifically warns against its use in critical flow situations, and offers suggestions of where this type of hose and fittings can be used reliably. Push-lock arrangements are also notorious for seeping/dripping around the fittings which I can't stand personally.

Vacuum applications is one of the recommended uses for push-lock I believe.

Thanks Charles, I had no idea that the Push-Locks were incorrect for pressure use. I will correct that as I don't want to dump all the oil and risk damaging my trucks engine or making an oily mess under the hood. The depth of your knowledge continues to astound me. Your ongoing help with our trucks and all things related to them is much appreciated my me and I am sure by all (well most of us anyway) who visit this forum with questions about the hobby we all share. Thank you Sir!

It just makes me nervous to see it used in that type of application, I've had trucks come in here with that on them, don't think I've ever seen one that wasn't dripping as a result. It surely isn't worth the potential risk in my opinion.
