Been working on my M37 for the last couple of days. Got the fenders fitted and the front grill installed. I am glad I left everything loose until all the bolts were started.

On the road or in the yard??? In the yard, when I roll her out in may when it warms up. The electrical should be finnished, she runs off the fuel tank now and last fall we hooked up the brakes and bled the system. I need to bleed it once more and do the adjustments. Then its throw the rear axle shafts in and she should run around the yard. It will be another winter of work before she is out on the road.

I am trying to paint a M416 trailer that is now taking more work than expected.


Forgot, got to get this home from my parrents place.


I am also building a cook trailer out of a M103 trailer. It will have a Smoker and Charcoal grill and a 2 burner griddle.


Dragged this home last weekend.
I am also going to paint my M62 and finnish it up. This is not including my PM maint on my M52A2 and my M151 for the summer season.

So you see the M37 mostly gets attention when its too cold to do anything else.

Looks nice! You certainly have a bunch of trucks that demand attention!

Noticed your bumper markings. Plan to put markings on my M-37 also.

I have an old photo of one when I was in Korea. I can make out the circle prop and FEAF on the photo that I have.
Which is on the left side like yours, also on the right side is 17 and cannot make out the other numbers/letters. I know that the 17 is for the 17th BombWing, which I was in. I was in the 37th Bomb Squadron , 17th Bomb Wing and would like have that idenity on the bunper.
Also How do you have the rear bumpers identified?
What does " 4-FIW EOD " stand for? 4th Fighter Wing?

I antonio. Yes for the 4th Fighter wing and the eod is Explosive Ordinance Disposal.

Thanks for posting those Pics! Your truck is an inspiration! It looks like the OD paint on your M37 is OD#319 is it? Sometimes it's nice to see OD shades other than 24087 .

When the time comes to do your M62 are you going with a solid OD paint scheme or with the 5(?) color camo that's on it now?

Thanks, the green on the M37 is late WW2. Its from army Jeep parts, and its Gillespie paint. They call it AJP late WW2 semigloss 304087.

The wrecker will go 24087 in Vietnam markings.

So that's what that shade looks like applied. Very nice . I'm planing on painting my M37 that color too. Now I can really say "Thanks for posting!"

To add some history. Dad worked the flight line loading Missles from 1958 to 63 then went to EOD school where he did that until he departed the USAF. Dad says it was a exciting time being based at Tyndall AFB in 62!!

is that Dicktater's truck in the backround? (last image) Flight line yellow another non OD but historically correct color to paint an M37.

By the time I got in the USAF (1966) we were not allowed to wear nylon parkas on the flightline or around explosives, or flammable storage areas.

Really sucked trying to keep the cotton shell parkas clean as a mechanic.

Where was he stationed up north?

Is that a 50's Chevy stepside way in the back of the yellow M37 photo?
