what goes on the back from side to side on the top boards to hold them togetter from the eye bolts, rope or some type of chain

Hi Anthony,
It is a canvas web strap, with snap clips at each end that hook onto the eye bolts.

I was thinking it was some sort of way of holding the the top sides together Thank You ! hope to post some pics on my finished Troop Seats.
