Bruce McCann sent me another Pic, you know he was actually young once??? (weren't we all

)
This is the M37 that started it all for him, it's much the same today except the 230 Cui 6 has been replaced with a 273 Cui V8, this is a tidy rig and I have seen it in person as such and would gladly take it home....
Best Regards - MM

Nice Work Bruce!

Question:
Are the ribs from the windshield frame to the bow standard or was this an addition to support the canvas top?
My M-37 had ribs like that to support a sheet metal top which was fastened by about 200 pop rivets. Mine has the fittings to accomodate the web straps but someone cut off the hold down lugs for the hood catches.
Nice looking truck
Ron
Not Standard

If you look closer, you can see a an up-right on either back corner of the cab welded to the top bow, also not standard. My cab had these also. It was meant to be two canvas straps and footman loops on the bow.

Here's a pic of the hold-down & the strap bracket for the canvas straps.
Hopes This Helped,

Yep! It's Gerry Zell's "Old Rusty," alright. I have a pic of it at a campsite in the woods as my wallpaper.

Very Nice truck. A beautiful example of a resto-mod. I like the usage of the 273 V8 - something a little different, but still functional.

Bruce,
You're the MAN. Thanks for the pics of the top of the frame showing the fittings and location. I can tell where they go but I'll have to get the pieces from John at Midwest.
Thanks again,
Ron
