Tom,
Sounds like you are right on track
I do have some good pics of the "lacing process" for the ropes. Share an email address and I'll pop them to you as a help.

PS -- mine is also a '54 delivered Jan '54, build #336. Probably have a lot of common challenges.

Yes the buckles go on the outside there should be straps bolted to the metal bow corners, which when the tarp side is rolled up you can use those straps and buckles to hold it there.

Ok Tom,
Pictures are winging their way to you via cyberspace. The email for me so you'll know it's your pics is centurytel.net. Hope your restoration continues to go well ... trust your instincts ... and when you can't, ask questions as you've done. I've been in law enforcement and an instructor as well as administrator over the years, and my motto is,"There's no such thing as a dumb question except the one you did not ask."
Share some pics of your M37 when you find it convenient.

Sorry ...... I emailed them the next day and they did not show a mail delivery error .... and I didn't get a note from you that they did not arrive, so I make an educated guess that you had them. Again, my apologies ... I guess I will require read receipts in the future ... see if that is a better option.
