I just removed the intake and exhaust manifolds and all the 5/16-inch bolts that come up from the exhaust manifold into the intake were broke and are frozen in the 2 manifolds.Should i drill them out and retap the intake or should i try and find other manifolds? [where can i find then?] Also the heat control valve is frozen in the almost-horizontal position,is that going to cause any problems,we dont really ust the 37 in the winter. What colar should the engine be on a 52 m37? Thanks Tony

Liberal useage of your favorite penetrating oil, some localized heat, and some luck should allow you to remove the broken bolts. If you can, weld a nut on the broken face of the bolt - the heat will help break it loose and give you something to turn to remove it.
Tapping cast iron is a real pain - I'd exhaust all other ways and means of removal first....(pun intended

I have seen new intakes go for as little as $39. Not worth the labor in my opinion to try to drill and tap. Any of the vendors like Sid Beck, AB Linn, or Midwest Mil can hook you up. Call Charles at M-Series as he may have a good used one. They do lots of repowers.
As far as the exhaust, thay are a tad more pricey but you can find a good deal if you look. Try to salvage the exhaust manifold. As far as engine color, from what I understand, factory would have been the Chrysler silver. If it had a depot rebuild then they were OD. The guys here will correct me if I am mistaken on this color scheme
