Well gang I debated whether or not I was going to get the truck off the jackstands and out Saturday. It became a necessity. I was clearing the drive with the snowthrower and got the idea to move the daily driver out of the way. So with my fogged up glasses and snow covered rear window I decide to back out of the drive.
Thinking it would be better to have the Ranger facing out I decide to back into the drive. Now I have a 24" deep drain culvert on one side of the drive (ya know where this is going  ) I get out into the street with no traffic. Down at the corner a pickup turns onto my road and decides to do about 45, my house being close to the corner I try to rush back into my drive. The rear tire of the Ranger skips over the patio block at the end of the drive and the whole truck slides into the ditch, leaving it at about a 30 degree pitch in two feet of snow.
I had started the M earlier in the day and she fired up with no trouble. I got my floorjack and lowered the the M37 to the ground off the stands. Finding a strap suitable for towing I backed the Dodge out first time since November. I backed up to about 6 feet from the Ford and hooked up my strap. Locked in 4WD, low 1st I hit the gas. The strap tightened and the Ranger started to move. Without a groan the M pulled out the Ranger slow and steady out of the ditch and back onto the drive. The Dodge probably was thinking "Is this simple task what you got me out of hibernation for?" It was cool to see the big footprint of the Supertraction Mud and Snow tire tread in the snow. I think it took longer to get the truck Dodge out of the garage than to rescue the Ranger 8) I can't wait til spring!

Better leave the truck on the floor. 6 to 12 more inches predicted for Tues into Weds here.
