All,

good evening, as i finish my M37, Im working on the fuel tank now, im in need of the screws that attach the air inlet plate and the fuel float to the tank, does anyone know of an online source and what are the size of these screws. They are very small Phillips head screws, i guess i could use flat-head screws in the same size. THANKS

I just went and got stainless screws at the local hardware store.
10's and 12's if I remember correctly, can't remember if they are NC or NF though. Easy enough to tell when you look at them.

I wouldn't recommend using stainless steel screws, the threads are notorious for stretching. When that happens, you can forget running the screw back out, when it breaks, that stainless is a booger to drill out. Just gets way to complicated, easier to deal with rusty threads.

Charles is absolutely correct. Don't use stainless. I learned the hard way. Ended up using the flame wrench to get new stainless bolts out of the exhaust pipe. Much easier to use just good bolts and nuts. Put on anti seize compound and they will be fine.
