I believe there is a fellow in Texas that sells excellent quality remakes of the data plates. It's called Rapco as I recall. Not very expensive.

Thanks for the info Lifer, but if you go to Rod's site you'll see that almost every data plate for the M37 series is "Not Available At This Time." Kind of a waste of time you'd think. The site I'm refering to is:
http://www.rapcoparts.com/index.html
They seem to have all the plates and a set as well for $45.00. They also have quite a large catalog of parts for those in need. It has been a number of years since I've seen this fellow and his lovely wife at the MVPA Conventions, but he impressed as an honest and genuine fellow who was very focused.

Oh. I didn't realize that MVDP had an "availability problem."

I think I still have some NOS road speed data plates, if interested email me
Autodoc51@aol.com. When it warms up (36 out there now, cold for Florida)

I will check.

I think this is only a problem for later trucks---I am about to order many new plates from MVDPs (or plan to)...All the alluminium plates are "NAATT", but since mine is a 1951 it had mostly brass plates which he sells....

I just ordered a set from Vintage - only 1/2 came it - the rest on b/o. They are a bit pricey at $8.50 a pop, but the quality is a dead ringer for the originals. Was $15 shipping to MI.
