I'm sure this is a FNG question, but here goes. I need to replace all 4 wheel cylinders on my 1952 M-37.

I know from some research that the larger bore goes to the rear, and that there is a difference between left and right. But is there a difference between front and rear wheel cylinders? Or are the "Left" interchangeable for both front & rear on that side?

I'd like to order the wheel cylinders this week, but as I still await my TM 9-2320-212-34P manual's arrival in the mail, I'm apprehensive to purchase the wrong parts.

Any kind of info on this matter will help a lot. Thanks!

The answer to your right, left, front, rear, question is it only matters from right to left, whether used on the front or rear makes no difference.

Thank you! I was pretty sure that was the case, but one never knows till the TM is in front of them. And I really didn't want to pull off any of the tires without the proper wheel cylinders. Thanks again.

The reason for the Lt/Rt difference is that the cylinder has a stepped bore larger bore goes aft.

I knew that much in my research. But since I'm not a mechanic , and the guy that is helping me said to make sure before I ordered. I was making sure the Left & Right thing was the only difference before I ordered. (I take direction very well when it comes to these things, specially since he works for beer!)

Welcome to the 741!! I also posted over on the G838 about your brake lines.
Look them over good if they have the spring armor cover.

Yeah, I looked them over, and though they probably could stand a few more miles on them as is. I believe I'm going to just go ahead and spend the money NOW and get new lines for the whole rig. That way I'll know for sure when they where replaced.

Thanks again for your advice. I probably would of had to pay bigger money later when the truck didn't stop and drove into my neighbor's house.
