Pilot bushing obsolete

Ordered new pilot bushings for 230/251 engines from NAPA this week, was told the # has gone obsolete, but there were still some in the system around various distribution centers. They rounded up 36 for us from around the country. It's a good time to purchase if you see a need coming up in the future. Our cost was $1.24 each. Easy enough to custom turn one from oilite bronze, (the correct material) however a custom job will be far more costly than $1.24.

Thanks Charles, Do you have the obsolete NAPA #? We actually have one of those on the island. Rick

I have two drawers full of pilot bushings. But I would need an old Doorman # to see if I have any for the M37, or exact dimensions. I bought two Doorman cabinets years ago, cheap, lots of wheel studs, block core plugs (freeze out), pilot bushings and other assorted stuff.

The new NAPA part number for this appears to be BRC B286.

Timken / National also sport this under the PB286HD part number. Plenty to be had under several flavors. :D
