WINDSHIELD RUBBERS

GOOD MORNING ALL. I NEED TO REPLACE THE RUBBER WEATHER STRIPS AROUDN THE TWO FRONT WINDHSIELD FRAMES. DO I NEED TO PULL APART THE FRAMES?? IS IT EASIER IF I TAKE THE FRAMES OFF THE M AND PUT THEM ON A BENCH?? THANKS BOB

Definitely easier! They should slide out on either side?

It is not a hard task. Just time consuming.It will be easier if you take the windows off. Remove the old moldings and clean any old hard rubber out of the frame crevice. Put a light film of grease or vaseline on the retaining lip of the new molding. Work one edge in and pop the other lip in with a small blunt tool. Make sure to start at the bottom edge so the corners line up and it sits even on the frame.Thats how I did mine.
