Where they go...Bows for the rear canvas that is

I was wondering if anyone knew just where the rear bows for the canvas are stowed on the truck?
Also if they are strapped down how and where are the straps hooked to the body, and bows?
I've seen some that have been modded with extra pocket brackets on the rack...Appears like it works and looks good. But is not the way it was done originally?
Thanks for any info and double thanks if you have pics...

I don't have pix but the bows lay flat along the front of the bed with the ends pointing rearward, and are secured with the two straps that hang down above the side cargo box doors.

Thanks Cal-Gary! Thats where I was thinking they go to.
Does anyone know where to get the straps? Will a Jerry can strap work?

A Jerry can strap is probably long enough, but is not the "proper" strap if you're going for an exact restoration.

Is the issue with the width of the strap?
Looks like the Jerry can strap may be narrower...

Cabell carries his bows this way also, I never thought to ask about the bed mounted spare tyre? I wonder how you transport them w/the spare in the bed?
Did that make sense?

They fit in between the spare and the front rails.

There is a specific footman loop that has a sewn loop for the footman and a strap and buckle. Come in handy to hold the front of the folding seats in the up position. I found my NOS but have never come across them in the repop. Let me know and maybe we can get someone to make them.

Great pic of the strap knattrass.
I've yet to find one repoped and I've looked pretty hard.
I wonder if we should contact WeeBee or New Life?

I guess I need to look harder when I'm looking.
Weebee, and New life carry the straps for the bows.
Here are a few pic's of my bows in the storage position with the wrong straps holding them down for now.
I like how the ridge pole attach's. Fit's really nice.
