The bed strips on the front sides of my bed are rusted out. These are the sheet metal angle strips that are spot welded to the sides of the bed and sandwich the bed sides to the floor and the crossmembers.

I am going to see about have some strips made up at a sheet metal shop.

If anyone is interested let me know and I will have some extra's made up.

May I suggest getting a spotweld drill bit from harbor freight http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/d ... mber=95343 you can just see it in the left side of picture, it worked great for me when I cut out the rotted strips on my bed ( looks like a mini hole saw )

I already have the strips out, I used a spot weld drill from Eastwood.

I didn't know that Rick!
I just thought I'd throw it out there just in case.
