I have my timber, and before i start drilling holes, what gaps between timber, and how close do the seats go to the side rails, good pics would be great.

I am not sure if these shots are what you are looking for Bruce but if not let me know and I will get what you need and post them. From the inside edge of the seat to the bed side with the seat folded down mine measures about 4 " all this depends on what size wood you have. Carter

Excellent pictures Carter, Can you post a picture of the safety strap that you have above the tailgate? Is that custom or stock?

The strap is original and mounts on the eyes as he has them. You can find them on ebay or maybe from John Bisal at Midwest Military.
