Yesterday was my debut at the National Chrysler Products Club Buckeye Region All Mopar car show. Could it have a longer title?
It was the M's first "real" big meet. It was also a 20 mile trip one way. I put a fresh set of plugs in Staurday night. WOW, what a difference, I must of had a fouled or misfiring plug or two as she screams now! She ran flawlessy on the journey up. When we arrived there were Mopars I forgot even existed. Remember the 1989 "Maseratti TC"?
I once again found myself surrounded by blown Hemi's, 340's, and chrome galore.
I was the only old Powerwagon, out of about 300 vehicles the only other old truck was a 1970 D100.
I new this was the real deal and maybe in over my head when I saw the judges start crawling under cars. My turn came and he spent about 3 minutes underneath the M. I didn't go there hoping to win anything and figured I would just have fun. We parked next to a retired couple with a new 2009 Challenger. They were busy going over it with toothbrushes and armor-all. I am sure glad I have an Army truck as I watched them. I felt out of place with my primered, paint swatch covered rig  When it came time for the awards they gave out plaques for the top 40 vehicles and trophys for the top ten. I placed in the top 40 as well as the folks next to us with the Challenger. WOW, I got the same plaque as a $37.000 car :D It was a good day, and oh, by the way, it finally happend, somebody called it a JEEP

On the way home the wife and I came across an OSHKOSH fuel truck on a trailer and took a neat pic which I posted in my album. My thanks to the crew here on the forum for your help and support during my project. A win for me is a win for you :)

What happened to your hood?, Your rig is an outstanding example of craftsmanship, you should be proud. I am starting to reassemble by bed. I'm also looking for a gas/fuel line, the one that secures to the armored line just behind the radiator, it goes to the fuel pump. I think my NAPA guy is making one up for me?
Is OSHKOSH a great vehicle or what?

Thanks guys.

Bruce,
Is my hood missing?
I think you are referring to my multiple primer zinc/ red oxide colors in the Oshkosh truck shot? My truck is not painted yet 8)
