Battery tray?

Is the tray separate or welded to the inside of the battery box? I'm trying to decided if I should just weld up the rotted areas on the box and then POR the inside tray.
It would be easier if I could get the tray out.

Both mine are not welded. I think they may have originally been bolted to the floor pan. I'll have to get the book's out and look it up for you.

I only ask because the box took a good four foot fall to the ground and the tray didn't come loose.
It's a big rust hunk in there.

Refit, the tray and the battery box are two separate pieced held together with four bolts together to the cab floor, if you need one I have a good one. GERALDO

There is also a brass (?) tube that goes from the battery tray through the box out to the great outdoors. Most likely to drain off water after fording (more likely battery fluids onto your driveway). That's what the mystery hoe in the bottom of the box & cab is for.

Thanks guys!
I am going to separate the tray from the box and evaluate. I might fab me up a larger one.
The brass tube is long gone.....
