U-Joints

I'm rebuilding the drive shaft for my PTO driven LU-4. The U-joints have passed the wiggle test. I plan to tear down the U-joints, and if all seems well, clean & rebuild. Questions: is there anything I should replace prophylactically? Should I not flirt with disaster & just replace them?

I recommend replacing them all, they aren't expensive, and the peace of mind will be worth it.

What Gary said, they are readily available, easy to swap out to.
Do you need a source, NAPA as well as AB Linn for starters?

Supplier?

I know that I can get them at NAPA, but is there a "better" place to get them? Is there some magic word I need to use to get good U-Joints?

Check to see if you have a drive shaft place around you. Here in Cleveland we have Custom Clutch and Shaft and they are drive shaft specialist. You take them the shaft and they will check it for straight and put new good quality u-joints in it. So if you have a place like that in your neck of the woods that is where I would look to go.
