Water proof spark plug question

I have not been able to locate a 12 volt coil that will fit into the original distributor (midwest military is completely out), so I routed a coil wire out one of the cooling enteries in the side of the distributor and brought it over to the 12 volt coil I have mounted on the firewall. My question is weather or not there is a problem using the waterproof plugs as I have seen them refered to as 24 volt plugs? The truck seems to run fine, but definitly is harder to start.... of course the plugs are who knows how old and will be replaced if there is no problem running them with a 12 volt system.

Good clean, properly gapped waterproof plugs should work just fine with your 12-volt system.

I agree, Lifer-they just carry the spark into the chamber-nothing magical about that if your other components are 12V.
