As I was told once

"I'm a victim of my own capabilities" That was told to me by a General foreman when I asked why I wasn't tapped to be a depty foreman. So over the years I just loved all kinds of projects and especially problem solving. Long story short I have a bit of a rep with my gun club that Wayne can fix anything, for free and hardly ever says no. Last night at the club meeting one of my Skeet shooting buddies mentions his truck lost second gear and could I look at it as the repair place said they couldn't do it. The truck is a Unimog of all things and a diesel from the 80s. This should be interesting! :?

"For free and hardley ever says no" I know that feeling  Although recently I have changed the for free part. If somebody offers cash and is capable of paying I take it. Back in October I helped a gal change a flat in front of our house. Ends up she had a trunkload of frozen Bob Evans sausage. Her husband worked for the company and got it at cost. I got several free packs of ham and sausage. So yes, I will work for food also.
Have fun with the Uni and keep us posted :)

In my younger days, I carried a "business card" that said "Unemployed. Will work for sex."

It worked, occasionally, too.

unfortunately, 1/2 of my "friends" in college were of this variety. It's interesting when you start saying no how quick you find out who your true friends are.

Free?

I'll do work for family and immediate neighbors(the friendly ones)for free, the rest better expect to shed some $ for any service I provide. That's the bottom line.
