I'm confused, Pertronix upgrade

Money wise I'm far away from ordering the upgrade from Charles. Yet having more time than money I do lots of research. Looking at the Pertronix MV-161 I see the maker lists it for a CCW distributor? I also understand that some units work for either direction, yet on the MV-161 they only list CCW. I'm also aware of some after market distributor items creating a phasing issue between rotor and terminal lugs. Any input will help put my mind at rest
