Today a visited Stainless Works in Chagrin Falls, Oh. The owner Ron, gave me a tour of his facility. They make stainless exhaust parts and accessories including an M37 stainless exhaust set up. Both 230 and 251.
He is branching out into other MV exhaust parts as well. I was very impressed. He is also fabricating the custom exhaust for the twin R2800 Pratt and Whitney for the other Racing Super Corsair being restored. He has two M37's , a duece, helicopter, and a duece dump truck. I was in heaven. :D

An exhaust header would really be nice but I doubt production/demand/profit ratios would be worth it for them.

I have no idea if the place you visited is the same place, but a few years ago some place in Ohio was offering Stainless exhaust systems for M series vehicles. They had a guy marketing for them who was more mouth than common sense is about the best way I know to say it. He tried to get me to be a dealer for them, but cautious as I am about the quality of such products I declined the dealership. I did install a couple of the systems on M37's. They did not fit correctly, when I contacted the guy about the issues, he got fighting mad. Said he knew they did fit, obviously full of it, just a salesman, no concern about the quality of workmanship. I think I put on 3, all had the same incorrectly bent pipe. I just told him his stuff didn't fit as advertised & wished him well. Shortly after that I never heard of him again, no more advertising, nothing. He also tried to sell me what he called a clean air kit for the multi-fuel engines. Well, you know me, I asked what his kit consisted of, he named over a few exhaust components. I was familiar with the clean air kits of years ago that included a new larger diameter exhaust system, a new updated injector pump, injectors, a turbocharger, exhaust manifold, & a few other small items. I never have known changing exhaust pipe diameters to clean up any air, but he insisted it did & really flew off the handle when I broke the news that he only had the exhaust component portion of the kit, said I didn't know what the **** I was talking about. This guy was almost comical.

I post this simply as a precaution, you may not be dealing with this outfit at all. I just remembered they were in Ohio & their stuff didn't fit. Their marketing person would sell you the London Bridge. Check them out carefully before making a purchase.

Has anyone tried this setup now? It's a bit of a old post. I'm looking for a complete exhaust system for my truck now.

Charles, as a career sales person, I cringe when I hear about sales idiot's like the guy you mentioned. To defend the profession, I pride myself on integrity and value the relationship as much if not more than the sale. Doesn't necessarily sit well with every employer I've had, but I have to believe in what I am selling. Granted this is hi tech sales of hardware and software, but I've made lifelong friends and acquaintances with many of my clients from such small companies as Microsoft, Intel, and Nike to name a few. Too few salespeople don't understand the power of word of mouth advertising, referrals and repeat customers. We are certainly not all used car sales people. You did the right thing by throwing the bum out. It is not worth your reputation to support that kind of unprofessional representation.

The way I gauged this guy, he thought he would turn some quick bucks, he couldn't have cared less that he was trying to sell a product that didn't fit the application, or was misrepresenting his so called "clean air kit" for the 2 1/2-ton. It would have been just a minor change to correct the flaw, but he never even tried. He had interest from us and many others in the products, but as it worked out, he just faded away when he couldn't make quick sales and smile all the way to the bank. I just didn't get his theory.
