Oil pressure sender test?

Is there an OHMs test for the sender? Or to test the gauge a resistor value to use instead of the sender to check the PSI reading? I guess it was easy to follow the Military way and just keep trying parts when you had lots of spares. Oh, the truck is a M37B1 with the 0-60 gauge and still 24v.

(2) Oil pressure gage sending unit.

(a) The ohmmeter should indicate 0 to 1 ohm reading with engine stopped, if ohmmeter does not indicate this reading or excess 1 ohm, replace sending unit.

(b) Start engine, ohmmeter should indicate a higher reading, if a higher reading is not indicated, replace sending unit.

Glad to be able to help Wayne, it's a good site for gauge and sender info for these trucks.

Also note the spec. stamped on the sender, there are 2 diff oil gauges for mseries one 0-60 other 0-120 the senders for these look alike but are calibrated differently.
