I know we've been over some of this before, but my truck is an Air Force not a OD Army or Corps specimen.

The air cleaner and aluminum carb "horn" thing should be bare metal, black or blue? I see many Army trucks with OD air cleaners, would the AF have painted theirs blue?

The engine will be grey, accessory stuff black, regulator bracket black, fuel filter black (I assume).

(I'm putting on the filter for completeness but it won't actually filter anything).

My Mustang habits are coming back to haunt me as I fuss over what color things should be. I have a hard time remembering that this is not a sports car but a truck.

John - I followed the same model for colors. On the engine, if it was cast, I used Eastwood silver hi temp. If it bolted to the engine, I used high temp semi black. If it bolt to the cowl, I used OD - so my volt reg/fuel filter are OD. My fuel filter is original with no inserts so I simply have the fuel running thru it like you and added a fuel filter in-line.

I like the idea of high temp paint. I'll have to get some.
