Battery hold down

I made a simple hold down using the hold down rods from a cheap kit from Wal-Mart, then just cut a piece of flat steel, drilled two holes and rigged it up....

Most hold down kits should provide long enough threaded rods. You may have to cut them to size but no big deal. I think all told it cost me about $3 bucks to fabricate.

right now we have 2 monster diesel batteries the po installed we are gonna remove them to install the batt box and tray and we will install smaller batts to fit in the box so we just wanted to have a factory looking hold down :D

This is an orig. GI battery holddown from my truck. The black paint is a bituminous based coating used by the army to help prevent rust and corrosion on battery boxes, trays and holddowns.
If you need specific measurements, tell me what ones you need. I have included a Webshots link of other views of the holddown:

Carter, I'll see your bet and raise it. :P

Tom, for the price of shipping one way, you can have mine to keep. I've given up on restoring my truck. I'm now aiming for rehabilitating it.

Tom, that sounds like a "deal" that will be hard to "trump". (note the card game references) Oh, I just make my self laugh all the time, maybe it's to much coffee or I'm a little crazy
