My cab heater arrived yesterday. So now between the wiper motors, and the heater, I have a couple nice projects to get me through the winter. Will be installing the wipers next week while off for Xmas holiday. Bought all wiring yesterday. Heater is going to have to wait until I can round up all parts.

Anyone got a photo of a Jeep heater mounted under passanger dash? Will need to fab a bracket to mount it and need ideas, thanks.

Thanks for the photos. Thats exactly what I need to use for my install. I hope you don't mind, but I saved the link to your photos so I can use them as a reference. It showed me exactly which valves, etc I'll need and where to place the hoses. I didn't think my truck's engine had the plugs in the places everybody has mentioned(I have a 230 industrial engine in my truck), however it appears that I do. Thanks again for the photos.

One other thing I forgot to mention was that I mounted the slow speed resistor on the top of the steering column brace. That keeps it from touching anything under the dash (like wiring) in case it gets hot, and I don't kick it while my feet are flailing around with the pedals.

Hey Dave, I think you did a fine job.....but I gotta ask, what is going on under your carby, is that a fuel filter or another fuel gizmo?

Dave, where did you get the resistor and toggle switch? I can get all other parts at NAP, but don't know where to get those two.

Thanks Bruce. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. It's nice to keep the glass clear in the winter.

It's a Racor filter/ water separator. It came with the truck, and I kept it when I cleaned up the rest of the disaster that was the fuel system (that picture is old). It's meant for diesel, but does a fair job of pulling the water from gasoline. There is a filter in the top of the unit, and a big bowl (about a quart) to settle the water out. It's mounted to the splash shield, and is not really in the way of anything. They've discontinued this model, but the filters are still plentiful.

Nick, when I bought my heater kit all the electrical stuff was in there. Saturn has the three position, center-off switches:

About midway down the page. Obviously you don't want the momentary type. I'm not sure of the resistor. I'm on the other side of the country from my truck so I can't really get a resistance value. Maybe some kind soul here can put a meter on one for us, or know of a source for the original resistors. Saturn could well have them.

I think I should have probably bought the whole kit vs just the heater, oh well, water under the bridge. I know with the kit some parts would not get used though. One item I see that I will definitely need is that baffle that has the one big opening and the two smaller ones, that fits over the end of the blower motor. Anyone know where I can obtain just the baffle?

There was a time when Sam Winer had the entire kit for 85-89 bucks, plus s & h, to me on the right coast it was $115.00, everything was in it too.

Not sure what this fits, is this the kind you need? If it is it's yours for 0$ if you want it.

Can't beat that price! That sure looks like the right one. I plugged one of the two holes. The other runs up to the winshield distributor/manifold/whatever. The door with the orange gasket opens into the cab. Good for the passenger's toes, but by the time it gets over to the driver's side, I'm already getting heat off the engine and windshield.

Dave, what is the device in the line going into the filter? Is it a pressure regulator? I think that I am going to need a pressure regulator if I can't find a low pressure 24v fuel pump. Are you running an electric fuel pump? If so, can you tell me the make and model.
