M37B1 First problem

The M37 is now in my driveway and I started going over it. The first problem I came across is the registration year and Vin number. The NY window sticker and the pink slip shows a 1967 with a serial # (dmv #) of 8019192
Now I'm old and my eyes are shot from 40 years of welding but this is what I got off the data plate
BT-WW
DA-20-018-AMC-009T
8019782 (could be 8019182 as the 7 might be a 1) T-245
6-63
I could register it as is but am I right in thinking the year is wrong not to mention the actual number.

Drivers side frame rail forward of the axle. Look for the stamped serial number there....Glove box doors and data plates are frequently changed...
As to correct year I am not sure I would bother if it was much effort to change it...unless in NY you could qualify for antique/classic plates....

Problem? I wouldn't call that a problem, at least not from your perspective. Its a clerical error. The paper trail on these trucks is a convoluted dung heap at best. I'd go with whatever info is on the peperwork you got and take that to the DMV. Not your fault is some previous clerical decision screwed something.

Thanks Guy's, I had this problem with a 72 Volvo P1800ES with the wrong Vin number so I just started from scratch and used Broardway Title in Al. to get a new title with the right number and since the way it worked was I sold the car to them for $200 that is what I had to pay NYS Dmv in taxes. I cleaned up the reggy and saved a few $$ on taxes. If the the truck is a 63? I would want it to be correct if possible, at least for who ever has it when I'm gone. Just my twisted thinking
