I'm wondering if someone can tell me what this is. After I pulled the plate off and removed the mouse bedding and the hornets nest, I saw that it's an open hole to the master cylinder area. External power plug maybe?

That is where the "slave" plug goes. That is how you jump start an military vehicle. They all have these external connections and you can take a slave cable from truck to truck.

Bruce can you explain how you weld the patches on the body? what kind of welder and what amps wire or stick size. How do you keep it from warping from heat ? I like the way you are using clecoes for holding the new parts. do you fill the holes with a weld after you tack it together?
I can weld but never tried any body work. thanks
Rick

If I can do, so can you! Have you been to Gordon Maney's Power Wagon Advertiser Forum?
Most of what I have done, I picked up from "Ron in Indiana" when he did all of the body work on the "Purple People Eater" a purple Townie that had more rust than anybody cared to admit! I see if I can post a link to the PWA, or do a search over there, they take most of their info very serious & they are very protective to boot.

My welding skills have improved, but I am still a Rookie/Nubi/ All of the above! I have a Lincoln Weld Pac, Mig/Tig and the use of a NORWELD stick machine, from work. Between the two, I have most bases covered.

Hi Bruce
Says I can't access it using your link even when I'm logged in on the PWA forum. I will be gone until the 16th. Gonna get out of town with my wife for a little vacation. So I'll check back then.
