The weatherstripping I installed on my truck tends to want to fall out of the tracks its in, or will pop out when the windows are rolled up, etc. Was I supposed to put some kind of contact cement or something on them to hold them in place or are they just supposed to hold tight from the tension of the rubbet, etc? This is getting frustrating to have to pop the stripping back in every time I roll a window up and down. Any and all advice appreciated.

3M makes a weatherstrip adhesive for this application - its the yellow contact cement in a tube. Pull out the seals, run a light bead in the channel and a corresponding bead on the seal. Let air dry for a few minutes until almost "dry". You'll need to use a popcycle stick or a screwdriver with the end taped to stuff the seal into the channel. I started at top corners and worked down to ensure the corners fit tight together. Hook the seal on one side of the channel and then stuff the other ear of the seal on the other side using a blunt tool to avoid cutting the seal. You do not need to glue the seals that have the mechanical retainers like the bottom of the door.
