I would like to install troop seats in my 1952 M37. I have all of the metal pieces (I hope). Where can I find specific info on installing the seats? And where can I find info on the wooden pieces, E.G.:
What type of wood?;
Should the wood be painted, varnished, etc?
Dimensions of the wooden pieces?
How does everything fit together?
Thanks a bunch.

Hello Steve,
PM me with your email, and Ill send you some pictures of the seats in in my 1951 M37. I don't have military spec's or TM's on their installation, but maybe some pictures would help. Mine has the full field radio installed as well.

Having ALL of the manuals (including parts, accessories, maintenance and operators) for the truck really helps. Just go through the pictures and drawings. You'll find how it all goes together. Don't just go to the section where you expect the information, peruse the entire thing. (Make notes where you find the info you need.)
Then, some google-fu or site search will lead you to threads already on the topic with the information you are wanting. Along with procedures various people employed to get the results.
Third, searching through the files and links section will find all the dimensions and other info you'll need.
I won't just give you the answer or exact file to look in. Going through the vast wealth of knowledge available here on your own will not only avail you to what you are looking for now. It will expose you to the answers to many questions to come.

justme has some great advice.

The Army had some less-than-intuitive ideas about how to organize information.

Cabell Garbee's site has some good info on the wood for the troop seats:
