Hello, I know this is a long shot, but I need the hot water heater diverter that goes under the dash that diverts hot air to the defrost plenum. Looking for the tubing for this heater as well. I live in Pana, IL thanks.

Welcome to the site, have you reached out to the usual vendors that may have the part?

What about Memphis Equipment or Surplus City Jeep? Both have M37 stuff-I've walked the Surplus City yard-plenty of M37 stuff there. And Adirondack Dodge?

Surplus City is no more. They closed a few years ago. MWM bought the inventory. I thought I had the defrost setup here, but must have traded it away. I can't find it.

There is an M37 hot water heater manual available which is useful for installation and parts identification. I picked up a manual at a show, but Portrayal probably has one.

The M37 diverters are scarce. They suffer rust damage from moisture dripping from the cowl vent. The 2 1/2 ton diverter is similar almost to the point of being nearly identical. In other words, while not "original," I think it would bolt up just fine. Once the hoses are attached, I don't think you'll notice a difference, if originality is important.

I have one of these units that I will part with for a mutually agreeable price (I'm on the road to the Kilroy show and not sure what that price is, but will entertain an offer). I'm happy to send photos after I return.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply. I have the manual for the heater and have looked at the M35a2 diverter but not sure what would be required to make it work. Looks like $30-60 price range for the ones I have found.

Decided to go for it and purchased a diverter for a m35a2. Hopefully the installation isn’t too big of a problem.
