All of us in VT are cracking up over the Bernie photo thing. Showing up in his everyday Vermont duds for the inauguration where everyone else was decked out in suits. A local friends young daughter looked at the photo and said, " but mommy, what's so funny? his clothes look just like ours... even his mittens"

Since it’s such a prominent piece, I’m making it look nice.

Picked up the frame today! The old girl didn’t want to roll too well, some thing up with the front axle. Ended up ‘driving’ it with the front input flange, a quarter turn at a time.

The bumperettes I took off were white, and I like the look.

I like that, reminds me the white tipped front bumpers from Nam.

I really admire your work on your frame, looks like it will look better than new when you are done. I spent many hundreds of hours rebuilding my truck, and did not take the cab off because I just couldn't be sure I could deal with all the electrics. And while I cleaned and painted my frame, I did not disassemble it enough to have It stripped. Parrts and work took up half of my garage, but I had to do the frame and bed and such outside. Your work looks great. NV

Going to replace the leaking output seal but I can’t see a reason to go in further (?). The lower gears look good too.

That gear set sure looks nice! I don't think I'd go deeper on it myself.

Since water will collect at the bottom, I would take one of the side plates off and have good look around for any dark or rusty spots on the cluster gear.

My cluster gear was not terrible but my lower bearings had a fair amount of rust on them.
