It is 1/8th material. I was going for 1/4" but then I decided that this was enough, since it is mostly for show. I did put some reinforcements in behind though. I bought a seat yesterday, will post pictures soon.

so I was looking around at seats that would fit and lo and behold I found this at an unbelievable price. $40.00! I had to get it . And it fits nicely. I removed all the original seat mounts and started mocking up the seat. The seat is a second row seat out of a 2003 GMC safari van. So I thoought I would use the mounting system for that seat and make it a "pop out". Here I have built the mounts. There will be a plate of steel going in above the indent in the floor therefore hiding most of the mounting bracket. That will give it a modern flat floor look for under the seat, except for the hump in the middle.

Man, those seats look damn comfy !!

Do those seats have an adjustable track, or does it fold and slide for access?

they have an adjustable track just like a normal bench seat. The seat backs do fold forward and the center console flips up to allow a 3rd passenger.

I can't belive how well those fit! My plan was to use a pair of the ABS plastic racing buckets (for wet weather use when the top is off/down) but those fit so nicely that I might have to alter my plan and copy yours!

NOT ONLY THEY LOOK GREAT AND FIT NICE, BUT THE PRICE WAS LIKE A CHRISTMAS PRESENT ALSO!!! THIS IS A VERY NICE SETUP! I LIKE THE CENTER CONSOLE ESPECIALLY!. ARE THEY LEATHER?

I THINK THIS IS A BETTER OPTION THAN THE PLASTIC BUCKETS MASTER. AS FOR THE WEATHER RESISTANCE, I HAD BOUGHT A WATER RESISTANT COVER SET FROM CABELAS FOR MINE, AND AFTER A FEW ALTERATIONS IT FIT MY FORD SEATS IN MY M NICELY. I USED TO LEAVE MY TRUCK "TOPLESS" FROM MAY TO OCTOBER, AND NO ISSUES WITH THE RAIN. THE CAMOUFLAGE PATERN DID KINDA FAINT THOUGH.

Yes, they are leather.

any updates? this truck is starting to look good!

I've started to repair the floor, but I got sidetracked to go on holidays to Palm Springs. Hope to get more pics soon.
