Well Josh, I ran what they call a long tail mud motor for 10 years on my rig. Powered by a 25 hp Kohler 750cc V-twin. The mackers of the Pro-Drive couldn't wait for a Kohler one liter that ran good at rpm lower than the governed speed. This is what I ran and let me tell you the Yankees up here never saw anything like it, short of a James Bond movie ha ha.

what speed does it have to run at minimum?
I might have a talk with the applications guys at work next week and see if we can get on that app. That would be awesome.

Josh, 950 RPM at idle is good but it must take the throttle smoothly with a load right up to 3600 RPM with no dead spots.

Tomorrow I drive up to the north shore and pay the $3500. Hopefully later this week I'll have it flat bedded to the south shore. The reason I'm not driving it is I would rather get a feel for it close to home, especially since the owner as of 9-2008 never used it. Therefore the history is fussy and I'm anal with checking all fluids and lube points, not to mention the fuel and brake systems. Also I'm too crippled to have a problem with an unknown. Once I figure out the TM books I need and give me a month or two with this forum and the M37 will be put to work. 63 cases of clay targets makes a palette, a palette weighs 1650 pounds, sounds like the right load
