It is rubber. About 1/8th thick. But very plyable but strong. Found it here in Edmonton,ab. It is attached to the body by plastic push through fasteners. I drilled holes though the rubber and the steel and pushed these pins in. They have ribs on them and will not come out without destroying them. The rubber sheet is not attached to the frame though.

I think I came up with the solution for the rear window slider fuzzy. Velcro! This is what I got. It was 2" wide velcro, too wide of course and I only used the fuzzy side. Also the wondow rail was too low and it sunk too deep into the slot. So I had some of this "hallway runner" stuff. It is flexable plastic wth ribs in it. The rib was about the correct thickness I needed. So I cut 1 rib out and glued it to the bottom of the grove, under where the velcro was going. Then I measured the lenth I needed and pulled off the sticky back protector and laid it on top of the groove ( very lightly as not to have it stuck down too soon. The I took a hammer and a 1/4 in piece of wood and quickly forced it into the slot. Once in I rocked the board back and forth to make sure the sticky side if the velcro was stuck to the sides. It stuck very well and one would have to destroy it to get it out then, so make sure you get it right the first time. Here are some pics as to what it looks like. Next I will show you how I made a new headliner.

The hard top I have is in really bad shape and I would like to replace it. I know the m37's tops can be difficult to find and people usually don't like to part with them. I have heard of people modifying the Deuce tops to fit. Just wanted to know If there was some info on these modifications out there or it is a trial-by-error type of project?

I have everything but the bow, John at Midwest Mil has brand new uprights and canvas support also. Tom At Snake River has new glass tops, w/o the window.

So there are a few more updates. The headlinder was rusty and had holes in it so .......





I took it apart.....



And made a new one.....





The installed and took it in for paint.....







I will post more pictures after paint. So in line for paint is now the hood and then the box.... stay tuned.....

I must say, you do very nice work. I can't wait to see the finish painted top.

How much to make a liner for my truck... ? That is some good work. What are you going to do for insulation between the outer and inner shell (liner)?

Yes I put dynamat under the liner for sound. My son's shop got the top in Paint today!





Will be mounting it this week. I'll post picture of it installed.
