great idea ill put the plasma to work!

I have been following your posts and your build is looking great.
I bought a couple CDN M37's back in November a 1955 runner and 1952 parts truck however you are a bit ahead of me, my frame is out for blasting and paint and I've been cleaning and painting chassis parts.
Was wondering where you picked up your tires? I'm in Huntsville ON.

i got them from a friend , one compagny in miramichi used to have the contract to maintain the lav from the army but the contract is done and they are now hard to find, your best bet would be bandag tire in fredericton, or there is a tire compagny in toronto that has some replica of the ndt, i cannot remeber the name at this moment but if you search on google for ndt 9.00 16 it should come up, post some pics of your build everything is interesting!

I'll post the pic of us getting our Christmas tree this year prior to the teardown (note the wheels and tires, previous owner cut and welded 20'' rims with bus tires), with only decent compression in 2 cylinders I was lucky to get her out of 1st. gear but I have a fresh 251 waiting to go in!
Don't want to hijack your thread, we both have the same name so would be really confusing… maybe I'll start a new one? it's hard with three kids and a wife and being in the shop 3-4 hours a night after work.

There are actually more 20" mil. spec tires available than 16". You may want to re-think keeping the 20" wheels, (if they were done well). The 20" tires are quite inexpensive and fairly easy to come by...
If you can't find the 11:00x16's, consider that Goodyear offered the MT/R (found on the Military Hummer) as a viable alternative. They are also easier to find.

Paul 1 - your work is looking great as usuall!

today i fiddled around with the driveshafts i got them ready for primer, ill finish cleaning the hardware tomorow and prime and paint, slow day after the march break, them u joint are hard to get and expensive 60 buck each ouch! i manage to find 4 solid one in the shaft i had and saved a few bucks! it is unbelivable that the lock ring where all easy to get off and none broke, quality is remarquable compare to the chinese junk we get nowaday!

Slow & steady she goes, a good rule of thumb. I gotta say what a great tapping job you've done on your drive shaft's and yoke's.

I can't tell if he's done any damage with all that tap-tap-tapping. If he has, it's completely obscured by that outstanding taping job that I see in the picture.

I know what your gabbing about, I was typing too fast and stuff happens.

It could be your keyboard, too, Bruce. I'm a "very good" typist, having done it for a living for my whole military career, but I have noticed that several keys on my keyboard tend to "double" when I hit them nowadays. You tap one once, but you get two leeters. (See what I mean? It just happened to me and I chose not to fix it.) Taking time to proofread before clicking "submit" can take care of "mistakes" like that.

well today i got the driveshafts painted and i got the pedals assembly ready for a prime, then i fiddled with the master cylinder , i had to take 3 appart to find one that had a bore nice enuf to my standard to refurbish, even a new one i had was all rusted up inside
