Well I've been meaning to post a pic or two... I lost my camera somewhere in my home office... ha ha... I was taking the darn thing to work to work on it during down time as it's just me here... Had to get a base mounted magnifier and some specialty tweezers cause my fat fingers can't hold onto things the size of a grain of rice...

The price of the tinplate assembled model is very tempting... HingsingM37...

Here's some of the kit partially assembled... I haven't had much time to spend on it as I've been trying to get a couple of barrels machined for my M1917A1 watercooled and get the real thing (M37) dug out in the garage...

Just a little update on the kit... and because people might check here in the future since this is the end all be all sight for M37's... The kit contains all the parts for the short side troop seat for mounting the tire in the bed... including the bed mount... It does not include a jump seat... but I'm sure if you are so inclined you can get creative as such... No option for antennae... The instructions are fair to poor... some parts are not labeled properly so match shape to picture...
Also when cutting pieces from the sprues leave the material on there till you fit it... I failed to do so on the frame and passenger side front cowl and shaved off some mounting nubs for items... Like I said the instructions for me are fair to poor or I'm just not paying attention...

As far as paint I'm using Testors Model master Dark Green 34079 as it seems to be the closest to 24087 once I apply the semi gloss on top of it... and I am using Testors Model Master 34087 Olive Drab.... (Hmmmm <--- Familiar Paint number) for the seats or anything that would be perceived as canvas... You can kind of see the variance in the shades... I'm sure once the semi gloss gets laid on top it will be easier to see...

Looking good, still wonder why M37 models are so rare.

Wait! You didn't glue in the stake sides & bows for the bed cover did you?

after viewing hundreds of hours of war footage i've come to this conclusion

wile the m37s and wc's(in ww2) were on the front line the 2 1/2 tons and jeeps stayed back at base with the press.

My two kits arrived. Looks pretty good at a glance. I want to build my AF truck but there appears to be no decals for modernish USAF lettering in that scale or in yellow. I see people wanting resin tires for them, any tire for a WWII 3/4 ton Dodge should be OK.

I got mine. WOW! Those are some of the smallest parts I've ever seen. Almost can't see some. Like the oil pump, its the size of a small grape-nut. (As in the cereal)



Actually it seems like a pretty good model. I'd like to build it once when I have a lot of spare time. This time around I'm kinda' rushed.
