Bob; Why all this 4th. strap stuff? Nothing better to do than count straps?
If I were showing the M at a show where a judge actually knew what he is looking at I would remove it along with the plate but I just ran out and snapped a shot last night and that's what I posted.
The judge at Aberdeen had no idea and I might have had several more and he would have been clueless, how do you think I won a first place? The old fellow did not know squat about M37s. We all know 3 are what Uncle Sam decided on but in order not to have my tools scattered across Pennsylvania highways I chose to use more. 8)

I use 3 because that is what I have. Stuff has never moved or been loose. But I am careful and fiddly about strapping them in.
The Mexicans at the gas stop call my truck "The Landscaper Special" and laugh that it needs a broom and rake!

OK Boys, be nice!
No inspections here we just want to keep our tools in the rack! Does that sound racy or am I just a dirty old truckdriver?
I'll probably order the 3 proper straps and then add my "tarp straps", "Iowa bailing wire" & some "duct tape" for good measure!
Don't want my tool(s) flopping around! (right?)

BOB. Thank you for the tip on the straps. Probably order them tomorrow.
Next time I've got the truck out I'll take a few shots of how I mounted our license plates.
Front one is on hinges under the front bumper. (Used to mount plates on semi's like that years ago)
Back plate is mounted on a "mud flap" under the pintle hitch.

License plate mounting locations started in "Technical Group" section.
