DAP, nice truck. I really like the stance of it. If my garage was 2" higher I would do the same as you did. As it is, if the tires are larger than 36" it is a no-go. I do have another question for you. Since the original rim had the split lock ring and a flat interior rim surface, was it hard to find a drop center rim which would clear stock brake drums and retrofitted disc brakes? I will ask this of the guys at Stockton Wheels also. And thanks for answering these questions. In searching this topic, I have seen that you have posted quite a bit about these rims over the last few years.

JimC. I would like to see your cad drawing. This is the other drawing I have. http://www.garbee.net/~cabell/riminfo.htm There are no measurements from wheel center to the inner rim so I don't know what to look for in a tubeless swap.

I have the same problem with 11.00 x 16 tires. I have 1/4' interference between the garage door and my hard top so I keep my M37 elsewhere. If I put the 9.00 X 16 tires on then it will fit in the garage but I like the speeds and gearing best with the 11.00X16 and my deisel.
I originally explained to Stockton I wanted the "Budd rim look" and a 16" rim with similar back spacing to fit drum and disk brakes. Harely was the only guy who understood what I wanted. He found a "low drop center" outer and got me as close as he could to the back spacing and "look". The outer is supposedly not real common but neither is it rare. I have been doing this for close to 10 years and each time with Stockton is trying to my patience. If they would just let Harley do it and leave him alone I think it would go quicker and always consistent. Guy in the front office says Harley is actually "retired" but comes in to help them out so I may be running on limited time. Next go around I might send a good wheel to Marsh and see what they can do and how quick.

Dap, you could try just airing the tires down a few pounds to make the 1/4" clearance issue go away with your 1100:16's on... Another source for rims might be www.Stazworks.com . They do a lot of custom rim work including bead locks and recentered H1 wheels.

Trailworthy fab also has some of the M37 centers for the HMMWV rims. Talking with them now while I'm having trouble finding 1100r16's. I don't really like the massive sidewall size of the 1100's but not sure the 37's are big enough...
