Great find , Starts right up , pushes snow , not far from home, who needs brakes? How's the hard top? Home made or original?

I'll take some better pics when I get a chance.

The top is fiberglass, with raised mounts for running lights on top,
and its mounted by rivets to a metal band attached to the cab.

The back window is rectangular, with rounded corners.
Regular glass (one corner is cracked, taped in place for now).

So I honestly don't know enough about the tops to say if its an original M37, aftermarket, home made, or an M35's.

Any wood attached to the rear uprights/pilar?

No wood back there at all.
Aluminum excrusions are attached to the fiberglass at the B pillar, behind the door glass,
but no wood.

Sounds like a keeper, post a pic or link if you can. The oval was left over from CUCV,(WWII ?) the rectangular was made for us and I believe the rectangular slider as well? Does it have a liner or lining material?

No liner,
no slider,
and the window is rectangular

Running boards not in such great shape;

im curios what is holding your cab on ? i see the pics of the running boards but i cant tell if the cab mounts are still attached. I see a side shot of the truck but i cant see any cab mounts sticking out from under the door. were the running boards cut off?

This is the same top that VPW sells, comes w/o the rear window, I think Tom at Snake River sells it to, a nice solid top! Running boards are around, but sometimes pricey. I bought a NOS one from AB linn a few years ago, he might still have 'em?

I'm so new to M37's, I didn't even know the cab mount 'should' show with the running boards off.
I'll take a peek tomorrow & see.

I found what's left of the running boards in the bed when I got it home.
They look like the rotted to the point where someone just tore them off.

I'm not complaining,
I expected a running plow truck at scrap yard prices to be really rough.
If the body & frame are worth saving, I can re-do the body mounts.

I kinda like the look without the running boards though.

I saw someone selling a top w/o a rear window, must be the same one.
I guess these are aftermarket then?
The glass in this one is just plain glass & has a break in one corner.
Since the window type was up to the buyer, I guess I could swap a different shape piece in there without hurting originality.

I think I'll leave the running boards off for now,
my 8 year figured out how to climb in without them, so we can get along without them for the time being,
