Hi Tim,

On this site's page labeled "Production Changes" it lists the battery moving as I stated. It doesn't say what is meant by Left Hand (LH) compartment. I took it to mean under the hood on the left side, but being as we're talking M43 maybe there was a compartment on the left side of the truck in the ambulance box section. I really don't know. I just didn't think of LH as meaning under the driver's seat......but it could. Hopefully someone with an early M43 can tell us.

BINGO.....here's pic of the passenger seat base (riser) in the early M43s. You can see it's very different from the riser in the M37. Seems the ambulance uses a driver's seat for the passenger seat and the riser is a rectangular box without an indentation for a First Aid kit. Sort of makes sense.....why would need a First Aid kit in an ambulance.....the whole thing is a big First Aid kit!!
