Which of those two national seals is the slinger's use compatible with?

6186-S or 6636-S

National 6636-S is the late style seal that we use; a much better seal than the original, less prone to leakage because of the advanced seal case design, and not compatible with the slinger. I'm not familiar with the 6186-S.

well......back to the drawing board. The noise is still present. We're now in the "stumped" phase of this project. This is the time where we sit down, leave it be for awhile, think about it, then hit it again later. Too frustrated to deal with this anymore this weekend!!! :cry:

After reading this thread especially the part on the slight hump in the front part of the oil pan, I checked each of my 230 engines (a mixture of military and civilian) and everyone of them except 1 civilian had this hump!
