Northern Tool is a good source. I'm in agreement with "HB" in an above post. I've been in the trucking business for
over 40 years and never actually had a tractor/trailer rig that WASN'T 24V. I suppose there are some out there and
maybe the "new" rigs are 12V but doubt it. As mentioned above, over the road truck/trailer vendors are a good source
as are marine parts vendors. Regarding the "new" LED lights..... how 'bout you ask a trucker that uses this type of
equipment and see if they think the units are better/worse in actual use. Hey... knowledge is power, ya' gotta dance
with them that brung ya' .
Just some thoughts from this old timer.

Thanks for the link monkeymissle. That site has good products, but they do not list any prices and you cannot add items to a shopping cart to see how much they are. Not a very good website. I have put this on the back burner for now.

I bit the bullet and bought the Tech-advantage LED lights. They are an 18watt, 10-30 volt dc product. I did a temporary hookup to the ignition circuit, so they are on when whenever the truck is on. The color is way more white than the stock headlights. Even though they are floods, they are very bright when looking at the truck. The color is more annoying than the total light output in my opinion, kind of like HID I might have to aim the lights down and away so I do not bother oncoming traffic. I was looking for a periphery light, and they seem to fit the bill. I will probably use halogens for the backup lights since they are so much cheaper, and they will be used much less often.
