Keep in mind that the manifold sucks (vacuum) so the dirty air goes into the manifold and into the combustion process. Be sure to put a restrictor of about 0.040 " diameter in the manifold port. You can just fabricate one using a pipe fitting soldered closed and drill a 0.040" hole down the middle. On the other (Inlet) fitting on the distributor you can just screw in a rear axle vent valve if you don't plan on playing in deep water with the truck. Or you can run a tube from that port on the distributor to your air cleaner.
