That's what we're here for. I'm 66 years old and have been wrenchin' for 50 of those years, but I still learn stuff on here too.

We fabricate our own vacuum reservoirs in sizes needed. Reservoirs work great with brake boosters, however you won't see a lot of good from installing a reservoir as a wiper booster. Unlike a brake booster which takes a small shot of vacuum when the pedal is applied, wiper motors need that constant supply. Once what is in the tank is gone, the wipers will still be slow or no. Reserve vacuum will be exhausted in a stroke or 2. You will also need a 1-way check valve up hill from the manifold source & at the reservoir inlet, omit these & you will accomplish nothing. This sounds simple & cheap, but done right, you'll find it isn't so cheap. Remember also since it's vacuum & not pressure, the system operates backwards. We've tried it all over the years, you won't beat a good electric set up, by the time you do this vacuum thing to where you get all the benefit it can provide, your investment will have taken you a long ways toward a dependable electric wiper system.

Hmmm, let's see now: vacuum don't work well the way it is , booster set up done correctly is better, but not by much, electric is better yet , but not the cheap chinese stuff; but the best electric requires major investment !...I guess it's like chosing the quality of a locker, you gets what you pays for....Thank You all....( anybody want to buy a nice mauser rifle?)

One of the things that will help the exsisting vacume system is to make sure it is in good working order. Check all the lines to make sure they are not cracked, have holes in them etc. Unhook from the pump and the wipers and push some compressed air from your shop compressor through the lines and blow out the ants, spiders etc that have made homes in there. I had a system once that wouldn't work worth a dang and I blew the lines out and a big old mud nest came flying out!... lol.

Also give the wiper motors a little shot of marvles myster oil...that will help them swing back and forth a little better. It isn't going to be as good as an electric system, but you may find it more livable...specially is money is an object...
