It seems that most M37 tanks (and Generator Trailer tanks) have only one drain opening and it is located at the rear of the installed tank for easy acess. Like Charles said, you are lucky to have the larger, extra drain opening.
fuel tank drain?

well if renu did it or not i am glad for the extra drainage.thank's for the opinions guys,i was just curious as heck about it. now all's i have to do is install it and run all new fuel lines while i'm at it.

it's impossible for me to tell what the surrounding metal looks like but mine is in same location and appears to be same size. what year is your tank?

Something scares me about opening a gas tank drain. First, because the plug is always tight and I imagine creating a spark if i pull too hard on the wrench. And I also fear with too much torque I will bugger up the threads too...
